Frequently Asked Questions

What training methods do you use?

I use positive, reward-based training backed by science. No force, fear, or punishment — ever. My goal is to help your dog feel confident, safe, and eager to learn.

What age dogs do you work with?

I specialise in puppies (8–20 weeks) and adolescent dogs (5–18 months). These stages lay the foundation for a dog’s lifelong behaviour and wellbeing.

My dog is older than 18 months - Can you still help me?

I can still work with you, depending on what your goals are. Please get in touch with me and tell me about the challenges you are facing with your dog.

Do you offer in-person training?

Yes! I offer in-person sessions for clients within my service area. If you’re unsure whether I cover your location, feel free to get in touch.

What behaviour issues do you help with?

I support common puppy and adolescent concerns such as:
• Jumping
• Mouthing/biting
• Over-excitement
• Poor focus
• Loose-lead walking
• Recall issues
• Mild fear periods
• Basic manners

For more complex behavioural issues, I may refer you to a behaviourist or specialist.

Do you train with children in the home?

Absolutely. I can coach your whole family so your dog receives consistent, safe guidance — great for households with young kids.

What do I need for our first session?

Just your dog, a flat collar/harness, lead, treats, and a quiet space. After booking, I’ll send an easy checklist.

How many sessions will I need?

Most families start with a package of 3–4 sessions depending on goals. The number of sessions you need can vary greatly and can be as individual as you and your dog and the goals you have. I’ll normally recommend a plan during your initial consultation.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes - If you are opting for a package, you can pay as you go.
